Alli Wood
Film Photographer

Alli Wood is the Owner of Oficino Uno Fine Art Gallery in Carmel-By-The Sea, a small beach city on California’s Monterrey Peninsula.

Wood, a Film Photographer from Australia, best known for her style of black and white figurative work, captures the lines of curves of a woman’s body, to reveal her classic sensuality. From behind the twin lens of her Rolleiflex camera, Alli sees a world full of wonder, possibility and beauty in its every human form.

Dreamtime

Her most recent photo series called “Dreamtime” was taken when she was in her home country of Australia earlier this year. A concerned Alli, felt that time was fleeting and with the death of a family member and her mother’s 80th birthday, she knew she had to visit them. During her stay, she came across an abandoned homestead on the outskirts of Melbourne that she used as a backdrop for shooting her muse, a woman Alli barely knew. Together they pranced amongst the land, while the distant sound of giggling could be heard in the wind.

Created from a black and white negative the silver gelatin photograph is printed on paper and has incredible tonality. *NOTE: Crops on this post are not exact artist crops. To see full image please click on image.

MORNING PATH
Dawn awoke in the forest as she walked along the shadowy path of eucalyptus trees. The light was filtering through creating an ethereal moment.

FERN
Reflecting at the reflection. The fog rolling in from the sea created a magical scene. I love the leaves embracing the frame edges.

RED RIVER GUM
Oh this tree, how much have you seen? I would pass you daily on the way to my parents home in rural Victoria, Australia. There once there was a river near by and now there are dry fields and many new houses.

The Mason Sisters

“The Mason Family” is on Allis Mother’s side. One of twelve children, each with their own fun loving and energetic personalities. Thankfully their father was a builder, so when a new child was born he could build a new room!

Maple Wood Prints are printed directly on to 1/2″ thick maple surfaced wood board, for a warm and natural-looking print that is also eco-friendly. The grain and other characteristics of the wood shows through for a natural warm tone and vintage feel. Each wood print is unique and no two prints will look precisely alike.

*NOTE: Photograph “Swim” is a Metal Print. It represents a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. The image takes on a magical luminesence.
