The latest edition to our collection of ceramic fowl from southern France is the cobalt and gray Guinea fowl. We love a good story, and this little lady’s journey began in the red earth of Lussan, France, where the clay is sustainably harvested and hand sifted to remove impurities. From there, sculptors add water to the clay and hand pour them into molds, after which they hand smooth the hen to remove seams. Each hen is then bisque fired, glazed and hand painted; no two are exactly alike, although the family resemblance is unmistakable. Start or add to your existing collection of La Pintade Caillard Ceramics with the cobalt-and-grey ceramic Guinea fowl. They’re easy to care for, require no feeding and get on exceptionally well with all humans and pets. See our entire collection of ceramic fowl, and you’ll understand why interior decorators and home decor enthusiasts have been fans of La Pintade Caillard for nearly 40 years.
