Ceramic Duck Yellow Quail w/ Electric Blue Spots
$89.00
Availability: In stock
Oooh la la! The ceramic quail in electric blue and yellow has just arrived from France, and she’s looking for her flock. It’s easy to see why home decor enthusiasts and interior decorators have long been fans of the ceramic Guinea fowl, hens and quail. To truly appreciate the quality of these ceramic works of art, you need to know a little of their history. They date back to the mid-1970s where their creator, Heidi Caillard, fashioned them after the fowl that dotted her family’s farm. Today, her family continues her tradition. The clay is harvested and hand sifted to remove impurities before water is added and poured into molds. Each quail is hand smoothed before it is bisque fired, painted, glazed, and painted by hand. Your quail arrives on your doorstep in its own box. The ceramic quail get on well with humans and pets, and they complement a variety of decor styles.
