This bangle bracelet from Shinbone Alley is handcrafted from repurposed Ankole cow horns in Uganda, eastern Africa. The artists, originally from Texas, discovered a large cache of discarded cattle horns and were inspired to find ways to reduce the waste, create jobs and spur the local economy. They ethically source the horns, ship them to their workshop in Uganda, where local craftspeople cut, dry, cleanse, and shape the horns into household products and jewelry, such as these Jamala bangles. The bracelets go well with most any outfit and come in three sizes and three shades. Stack them or wear them alone. Because of the uniqueness of the animals that produce the horns, the thickness and shades may vary from what is pictured. That said, we know you or your intended will love wearing the Jamala thick bangle bracelet.
